HANA Pro 1" Flat Iron Review

29 October 2013

HANA Pro 1" Flat Iron Review
Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today I have a hair tool review for y'all. Its on the HANA Pro 1" Flat Iron. Before I begin telling y'all about it, I just want to say that I'm really picky about my hair products, and tools. I've been using a Chi Straightener since I was like 14. So I'm usually really hesitant about trying new straightners out, but I loved the HANA Pro 1" and I was so glad I decided to branch out.

Can we first talk about the cute packaging the flat iron came in?! It was so adorable! It came with the so many goodies, and accesories for the flat iron. Some of my favorites that it came along with are a travel bag for the flat iron, a rubber pad to set the flat iron down on, a hair brush, and some other fun goodies like make-up.
One thing I really like about this flat iron, and something that my old straightener doesn't have is the ability to change the temperature. I love that I can do this!! Because sometimes I felt like my old flat iron would get too hot, well with the HANA Pro 1" Flat Iron you don't have to worry about that! The HANA flat iron is also 100% ceramic, which is another feature that I love!
Here's a shot before and after I used the HANA Pro 1" Flat Iron! I thought it did a pretty good job, and it didn't take me long at all! My hair isn't super curly, but I would say its pretty wavy curly, and the HANA flat iron did an amazing job making my hair silky smooth straight!
Some other features that the HANA Pro 1" Flat Iron has that I love are the fact that it has curved plate edges, that means that not only can I straighten my hair but curl it too!! Its super easy to do, and I felt like I couldn't do that with my other flat iron.  And with these plates it also eliminates snagging my hair. I really feel like this is the best hair straightener! If y'all are looking for a new flat iron, I would definitely look into this one, because you won't be disappointed. For more information on the HANA Pro 1" Flat Iron you can visit their website HERE, HANA Salon's site HERE. or their Facebook HERE

falling leaves
Fall has quickly become my favorite season. Utah is so beautiful this time of year, and I got to whip out this tee and I thought it was more than appropriate. I paired it with this knitted sweater I got a couple years ago at Express and its still one of my favorite sweaters! It goes so well with so many things! I hope everyone has an amazing weekend! I am more than excited for it!
And I know this picture is really cheesy but I loved it, and I thought it was appropriate to go along with the shirt haha;)

M.A.C. eyeshadow combo: for the night out

24 October 2013

M.A.C. eyeshadow combo: for the night out
So I haven't done one of these in awhile and I really wanted to share with y'all one of my favorite ways to wear my eye make-up! Its definetly for a night out look, but occasionally I want a little drama and sparkle during the day and this look will def come into play!

What you'll need:
1.M.A.C. Prep and Prime Eye

How to pull off this combo:
1. Start with your M.A.C Primer by applying it all over your eyelid to get that base, and to make sure the look stays perfect all day.
2. Use Haux along the crease of the eyelid.
3. Then use the Blonde Streak Pressed Pigment, I usually just use my fingertip by dabbing it and then lightly applying it to my lid. I start in the inner corner and then apply it to the rest of my lid, basically underneath where I applied Haux and blending it in.
4. I then use Shawdowy Lady on the crease and blend it in on the outside corner of the eye. You want to blend this in so it has the smokey look.
5. Lastly I use Shadowy Lady again along my lower lash line instead of a liner, this also creates kinda the smokey eye look.
6. I just use the liquid eyeliner at the end and use it to draw the winged look.

Its such a pretty look, and if y'all have any questions or if that didn't make sense let me know! xo

cobalt blue

cobalt blue
I wore this outfit last Saturday and I'm totally in love with it! It has all my favorite things all wrapped into one outfit! First of all can we just take a moment to admire this cobalt blue blazer?! Its from Spiegel and its officially my favorite piece in my closet! (And its on sale for only $24 right now!!) I love blazers, and this one is not only surprisingly comfortable but I'm in love with the color. I never thought I would like to wear cobalt blue but I actually really like it. And then I got this cute Love graphic tee at Old Navy for only $12!! What a steal, no? I've always loved Old Navy but I feel like they've really stepped up their game, and they have some great items right now.
I paired these two great finds with some skinny jeans, some of my favorite black Target booties, and then some cute necklaces! Which I think really adds so much to this outfit.
