athleticism

athleticism
This is my very last look from my  my Studio 5 - Style File: 5 Spring Wardrobe Staples segment. Its another favorite, and its super comfy and casual! This trend that y'all need to have in your closet is, athleticism. So some sort of baseball cap, jersey top, or varsity jacket. This is such a fun trend, that really makes an outfit really stand out. Not only is it fun, but it can be worn casual or dressed up. It took over the runways for this season, and for a good reason! I love everything about this outfit, its my favorite jeans, mixed with a jersey top and my classic black blazer. Then to top off the athletic look I wore this baseball cap(I love the color) and my converse! It really is a fun trend, and there's so much you can do with it!!

all about brows

29 April 2014

all about brows
Lately I have been really into make-up for my eyebrows. Up until last year I used to never do anything for my brows, and then someone did my make-up and used a pencil on my brows, and it did wonders. So ever since then I been trying out different ways to fill in my eyebrows, because let's be honest it really makes a good difference in the way you look. Sometimes they just need a little help to be filled in!

Here are my top three picks for your brow! They are three different kinds of ways to fill them in and I have grown to love them!

The first pick is the Benefit Brow Zings, if you don't like gel or a pencil then this is your go to! Its everything you need in one to make your eyebrows look great! It comes with a wax to define and shape your brow and then a setting powder! I love using this product, although its not my favorite out of the three its a great product! And one thing I love about it is how easy it is to use.

My next pick and my second favorite is the Benefit Gimme Brow! I seriously love this stuff, its no joke so easy to use. Its really fast way of getting filled beautiful brows! Its basically a brow volumizing fiber gel. It gives your brows a think and lush look. It fills your brow in perfectly, so it gives the appearance of full looking brows. It really lasts all day, which I love, because I don't have to worry about them at all. Gimme Brow is the perfect tool if your brows have sparse areas. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great brow tool!

My last and favorite pick for your brows is the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I used to be all Gimme Brow and nothing else, and I still love Gimme Brow but once I started using this brow wiz I'm hooked! Everyone has raved about this product and all for good reason. I was adamant about using it because I'm not a huge fan of pencils, but now I seriously love this. My favorite thing about this is how NATURAL my brows look with this. I will say that all these picks your brows will look natural but this product makes them look the most natural! This pencil has an ultra fine tip making it easy to fill in sparse areas, and it does a great job mimicking your brow hair. Because the tip is so fine you have total control when filling in your brows, which is great because its easy to go overboard on your brows. I also feel like it goes on so smoothly, which is a plus!

Well these are my top three picks to achieve beautiful full and thick brows, I highly recommend all three and if you haven't tried these products out, you need to just to see what its all about:)

midi skirt

27 April 2014

midi skirt
This was one of my favorite looks from my Studio 5 - Style File: 5 Spring Wardrobe Staples segment. The midi skirt is the next big thing and we saw it everywhere on the runways for Spring 2014. The midi skirt is such a classy yet modern look, very lady like. Its so elegant and its a great trend for this Spring. Its the maxi skirt for this year. If you are worried about the length, pairing it with a crop top can offset the length. I paired it with a denim top which I loved how it looked!

my new favorite jacket

25 April 2014

my new favorite jacket
Its Friday!! And I couldn't be happier about it! I'm going to keep this short because my week has been crazy busy. I wore this outfit for dinner on my birthday and I just love it. I found this jacket at a local boutique here in Utah and I fell in love with it when I saw it, I knew I could wear it with a lot of things and I loved how different the material was. Lately I have been really only trying to buy things that are versatile and can be worn a lot, and I definitely think this is one of those pieces. Have a good weekend y'all and thanks for reading:) :)

commodity

24 April 2014

commodity
I kinda have an obsession with perfumes, I think its a must in your daily go-tos. Every woman needs to have their go to scent. I have a couple different perfumes but I always want one that I can always wear and is my go to perfume. Commodity Goods is a premium fragrance company that I have fallen in love with! They have been featured in top fashion and business publication such as GQ, Fast Company, and W Magazine.
What's cool about Commodity is that for only $9 you can experience the full men's or women's collection by getting their Fitting Kit. You'll receive 10 perfume or cologne samples to try out to see which you like best before ordering! How amazing is that? I loved being able to test out each scent on my skin and wear it for the day to see which I liked best on my skin before deciding which I liked best! Ordering scents online can be really scary if you don't know what it smells like so this "trying at home" way is so perfect!
Once you've tried out the scents you can go back to Commodity's website and order a full 100ml size of your favorite scent that was best suited for you! You can even order a Trio, which is a set of three 10ml sprays that you can tailor by getting three of one scent or mix and match three scents. And if your order is placed within 30 days of getting the Fitting Kit, Commodity will give you back your $9 making the Fitting Kit essentially free!!
I was able to test the 10 scents out in the women's line and I wore each one a different day to see how I liked it best on my skin. It was a little hard for me to choose which I liked best because I seriously loved them all, but I also used Commodity Good's website to help me out! They have the scents categorized into three groups: Fresh, Warm, and Florals. When you click on a certain scent you can see all the notes included in the actual scent which I think is so perfect and helpful! They also tell you which scent is great to wear for, like day, night, or special occasion
I ended up choosing Mimosa and I just love it. The top notes are red orange, mandarin, and grapefruit.  Its the perfect scent for the day and that is what it has become for me, my go to scent for my everyday wear! It seriously smells so yummy and it has quickly become my favorite of all my perfumes! If you are in the look out for a new scent I would highly recommend Commodity Goods! black and white

black and white
Happy Wednesday y'all!! Sorry I didn't post earlier this week, I was sick with the flu and I'm still getting over it. So I'm going to keep today's post short! I'm showing y'all my third look from my Studio 5 - Style File: 5 Spring Wardrobe Staples segment. This Spring everyone needs to have a black and white piece in their closet, and I mean have both colors together in one piece. I love pieces that are black and white, its such a clean and fresh look, but yet bold. The contrasting colors make it a very cool and refreshing look. And you're getting both the staple colors in one piece. I love pairing it with pops of color like I did here with the blue and red!
