long hair don't care

long hair don't care
One thing that I will say I know my stuff on is hair growth. Four years ago I cut 10 inches off my hair and it barely hit my shoulders. This was the hardest thing ever for my when it came to my hair. I didn't feel like myself at all!! I couldn't wait for my hair to be long again, after all the majority of my life my hair has been long. The big question though, how do you grow your hair? Here in Utah I really feel like everyone has hair extensions, its ridiculous! So I constantly get asked if I have extensions, well I don't! This length came with time and a lot of different tricks!
I've already shared a lot of them before but I thought I would compile a list to make sure you get yourselves some gorgeous long locks!
1. Use Coconut Oil. This stuff is amazing and I swear by it! It works wonders! Go to my post here to get the instructions! I used this once a week for a couple months to help my hair grow really fast!
2. I do weekly deep conditioning treatments and I really feel like this helps with not only growing your hair but keeping it ultra soft and healthy! I love this deep condition treatment here. It is a little pricey but it can last a long time!
3. I try to never put heat on my hair. I probably curl my hair maybe 2-3 times a month. As much as I love curling my hair, I hate what it does to it. If you are wanting to grow your hair, you really are going to have to cut back on the heat! It will make the world of a difference.
4. Prenatal vitamins are good for way more then pregnancy! These vitamins will really make your hair grow! I hate using Biotin, which is something a lot of people think of when wanting to grow hair, but Prenatal vitamins work SO Much better!
5. My last tip is to only get hair trims when your hair is super in need of one. So I probably only get 3-4 a year.

I hope this helps y'all out a little! Please comment or message me if y'all have any other questions at all!!! :)

So if y'all are reading this then y'all can see my new blog design! I wanted a change and I'm super happy with it! Slowly but surely there are going to be some changes in the blog. I'm super busy with my job, working 55+ hours a week so I feel like I haven't been super good with my blog and I want to work at it!
Now onto the outfit. This is from a couple weeks ago. If I could wear things like this everyday I totally would! Skinny jeans, booties, and a casual top pretty much is my uniform these days. Camo is still one of my favorite trends. This whole look is from Forever 21. I usually don't like to shop there but its cheap and you can get some good stuff there!

fall days with Sole Society

fall days with Sole Society
One of my favorite brands is Sole Society. I always know I can find gorgeous accessories and shoes there. Matt and I went to the Farmers Market on Saturday and it was the most gorgeous day! I seriously love Fall! This whole outfit is a bunch of my favorites for this season! Y'all already know that I can't enough of this hat. But these booties from Sole Society are so timeless and have been on repeat. They paired perfectly with this striped pencil skirt. Chunky oversized sweaters are my uniform for Fall. I'm all about simple and cute!

Let's talk about all these other gorgeous accessories! This tassel necklace from LydellNYC is ultra-chic and the detailing is gorgeous! Even though it has that pop of color, it really can go with pretty much everything. I love that it gives a little extra bling to any outfit. And these earrings from WearLex are some of my favorites. They are so different and they really draw attention. Sometimes earrings don't really do much to an outfit but this adds so much I think! WearLex has some of the cutest jewelry that I am drooling over. They are also offering all my lovely readers 15% off your purchase!! Just use code LILY15 at checkout!! :) So I have been wanting a purse like this for quite some time, so when I saw this at Sole Society I knew I needed it. Its the perfect amount of boho that I need in every outfit, and I love the colors that go perfect for Fall! Fall is one of the prettiest seasons and Sole Society can seriously be your Fall accessory destination!

21 October 2014

So last week I finally moved into my own place, and I am seriously so happy. The past five years I have lived with roommates and I am so excited that I have my own place now. I moved to Utah five years ago to go to BYU and I ended up staying after I graduate, but now it actually finally feels like home. I still miss Texas so much, and I still consider that home, but now I don't feel like I don't belong where I am. I don't even know if that make sense, but I am just happy to be on my own and doing my thing:) So that's why I wasn't posting last week, but there are some really good things coming your way:)

Now onto the outfit. I'm pretty in love with these pictures and this outfit. I can't stop wearing this hat. I need one in every color! I really think its the perfect accessory for fall. This top is from Impressions Boutique, and they have the cutest pieces. I love this top because it really gives off a boho feel which I love. Booties were huge last Fall and they are totally still big this season too! I can't stop shopping for booties! These booties are ones that I spent a little more than I usually would but they are my favorites! I'm all for saving money and getting good deals but sometimes you need to splurge on good pieces! Also, the winner of the Pink Blush giveaway is Molly Cipolla! Congrats! Please email me at lilyac13@gmail.com to claim your prize! Thanks everyone for reading!! xo

military style part 2

06 October 2014

military style part 2
Happy Monday y'all! Hopefully this weekend goes by fast because I'm ready for another weekend already haha!! Last Wednesday I was on Studio 5 to talk about military style. You can watch the segment here. This is one of the looks that I talked about in the segment. One of my tips was to make your military jacket your go to! Military jackets are probably one of those things that can easily make your look be military. I love this camo one because it incorporates the camo and the military jacket. Military style is already meant to be a little masculine buy with a feminine touch, so that's why I love adding lace to this look because it softens the look. I'm also wearing my new specs in this outfit! Yeah I have extremely bad vision! So on days where I just don't feel like putting on the awful contacts these are my go to! Also there are two more days left to enter the AMAZING Sole Society giveaway!! We are giving away three products of theirs, including these boots I'm wearing in this post!! Enter the giveaway here
