April Birchbox

April Birchbox
So I am so sorry that I have been MIA lately. With finals I was already so busy and then after that I moved, then two days later I was off to Florida for the most amazing trip ever! It was such a great vacation, I will go into more details of the vaca tomorrow, but for today I wanted to tell y'all what I got in my April Birchbox! I seriously love Birchbox, if you don't know what it is, its basically a subscription that you sign up for that's only ten dollars, and they send you a box of beauty and hair samples every month. Kind of to just try out the products and see if you like them and see if they are worth buying. I think its a genius idea, and I love getting mail so its a great day when your Birchbox gets to you. If you want to find out more about Birchbox and how to sign up for it, just go here

So now for what was in this month's box:

This month's box was sponsored by Women's Health magazine. this was great because besides all the samples I got I got a free year subscription to Women's Health magazine for a whole year! The ten dollars just paid for itself right there without the samples;)
From Left to Right:
Caudalie Divine Oil: Its used to give your skin, hair, and nails a great glow. And let me tell you it really does. I actually really liked this stuff and didn't think I would but I am very tempted to buy the whole bottle.
Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream: This stuff is amazing!!! Its an organic shea butter foam-free shaving cream that smells like blueberries! Not only does it smell amazing but it really does leave my skin feeling really soft. I usually don't like to buy nice shaving cream, because it is shaving cream and it  seems dumb to but with this stuff I would actually buy it. Mostly for the scent but also that it really does make a difference in my skin. I would recommend trying this product!
Ruby Wing Color Changing Nail Polish in Poppy: I LOVE this nail polish! I didn't know things like this existed! The pink color you initially paint on your nails will morph into a pretty purple in the sunlight. Isn't that the coolest?! I love it, and the full-size is only ten dollars. I would so recommend this nail polish for those of you who love nail polish! It's just so fun!
Nexxus Youth Renewal Rejuvenating Elixir: So this is kinda cool, its a serum you put in your hair that can cure dry strands and reduce the odds of age-related breakage. I don't really know how to review this one, since its kind of something you have to see over time but it makes me hair soft and smell good so that's good.
Simple Revitalizing Eye Roll-on: This stuff is really cool. It is a roll on that you put on around your eyes in the morning to reduce puffiness and wake up tired eyes. It has a cooling factor to it so it feels good when you roll it on. I really like it. It definitely makes me feel more awake and I can tell it helps wake up my eyes!

Overall I seriously loved this month's samples! I can't wait for next months! But for April I would say my favorite product had to be the nail polish. Just too fun!! You can buy these products on Birchbox's website if you're interested and I would highly recommend signing up to get your very own Birchbox:)

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!

Guest Post: Victoria from Fashion Flirtation
I have another guest post for y'all today! I'm currently in Florida with Matt and family, having the most amazing time, so today I have Victoria from Fashion Flirtation doing a post for y'all! Please go check out her blog and show her some love! She is seriously the cutest! I love her style, and can't get enough of her blog! She is always posting adorable outfits, and pretty funny stories! If you're looking for a great fashion blog to read, this would be the one!!!

Hey guys! I'm Victoria from Fashion Flirtation, and I am so excited to be guest posting on Blushing Boulevard today! I found Lily's blog a few weeks ago, and I can't get enough of it! I love how she makes all of her outfits look so effortless, yet put together.

I am 20 years old, recently married to the love of my life, and currently living in Gilbert, Arizona. I definitely have a passion for fashion and writing, so it's like fashion blogging and I were made for each other! I love being able to express myself through what I wear. One of my favorite quotes by Rachel Zoe is: "Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak." Everything that you wear sends a message of who you are and how you feel about yourself, and that's what makes fashion so fun!

Today I want to talk to you about my favorite spring trend: WHITE. White is so clean and crisp, and it goes with literally everything. I love wearing white and adding pops of color, because you can't go wrong with white! Even white on white looks great! Here are a few ways that I styled this amazing trend. Head on over to my blog to see the rest of these looks, and don't forget to follow along with me!

A huge thank you to Lily and to all of her fabulous readers for having me today!!

xoxo,

Isn't she the cutest? I am seriously obessed with all these looks!! Now go to her blog and follow her:)
You can also go there to see my guest post I did for her blog!

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Guest Post: Katelin from My Wardrobe Staples

Guest Post: Katelin from My Wardrobe Staples
Everyone I am so excited to introduce to y'all one of my new blogger friends, Katelin! She is seriously the cutest, and has such fashionable style! I love her blog, and its become one of my favorites! Make sure to check out her blog and show her some love!

Hey gals, I'm Katelin and I blog over at My Wardrobe Staples. Lily is letting me take over her blog for the day and I am so excited to be here! Lily's blog is super cute and her outfits are so effortlessly chic!

A little about me, I am 23 and originally from Southern California. I moved up to Utah to go to Brigham Young University where I studied Early Childhood Education which means that I got to teach cute little kiddos! After graduating I moved back to California for the summer which was a strategic move that ended up working. While living there my boyfriend and I got engaged (I told you my plan worked!) and later married at the end of September in the Newport Beach Temple. Now I'm back in Utah working while my husband, Matt, goes to school. Since I had a lot more free time I decided to start a blog to document our new life together. But then I started talking a lot more about fashion and now I talk about trends, great deals, and everything fashion!

Lily and I decided to do an outfit post with one of my favorite trends this spring, neon. Neon colors are so bright and fun! You can keep your outfit casual by adding a few pops of neon and pairing it with neutrals (white would be a good choice.) Or you can dress up your outfit with heels and a blazer which is what I chose to do. I seriously love this shirt and blazer, they are so bright and they make me feel like a Barbie, I love it!

 Shop my look:
Blazer/Belt/Watch/Shoes: Target
Shirt: Old Navy
Jeans: American Eagle
Bracelet: SageKandCo.

I hope you ladies are all rocking the neon trend this season, you can find it everywhere. Make sure you stop by my blog My Wardrobe Staples and follow me on bloglovin!

Isn't she the cutest?! I love her blog! So head on over there, and don't forget to follow her!

Also if you want to see this neon look head to her blog too, for my guest post!

Thanks for reading everyone:)

Such a great movie, so when I saw this tee in Forever 21 I just had to get it! There are so many ways I could wear this thing! This look was more for a night out, I paired it with a black blazer, statement necklace, and some black stilettos! I can't wait to find some other ways to style it! Aren't graphic tees the greatest?!

Blazer Love

18 April 2013

Blazer Love
I love blazers! Being a Broadcast Journalism major I have to wear them a lot, but honestly I don't mind at all. They are so classy and yet I think they can do so much for an outfit. As in dress it up like crazy. Take this outfit for instance, I wore a light pastel sweater with a fun beaded necklace. Without the heels and blazer this outfit would be pretty casual but simply adding a blazer and some heels I've got a look that is considered to be pretty dressed up, and I was so comfortable an felt casual(especially with my messy bun haha). Blazers are great though, you can find them at so many places for such a great price and they are some of my staple items in my closet.

I wore this outfit for my job at LDS Philanthropies final semester breakfast banquet. Here are two pictures from this outing, I love both these girls so much. I'm gonna miss Brooke, shes going to be such a great missionary! Good luck girl:)
Blazer: H&M, Sweater: Nordstrom Rack, Necklace: Forever 21, Jeans: William Rast, Heels: Jessica Simpson

And heres an episode of BYU Weekly that I hosted(its a show on BYUtv that I work for) if you want to check out what I do!

blue and red

17 April 2013

blue and red
I don't know what's up with Utah weather lately, its so weird and I feel like its hard to dress Springy when I'm super cold all the time. So I'm layering to stay warm but I'm wearing my sandal wedges because I need some aspect of Spring in my outfit;)
I paired my chambray button up with a red blouse and then wore my navy blue jeans. And then my favorite wedges. I don't know why I love this outfit, I really loved wearing the red and blue together. 4th of July isn't the only time we can pair these two together, I think they make a pretty good match don't you think?
And ok...these pictures were so hard to take. It was SO windy today, it was crazy. I was really tempted to put up some of the ones that I laughed at because my hair was everywhere and my clothes looked ridiculous because they were flying all over the place but I decided not to, to avoid the embarrassment ha.

Shirt: Francesca's, Chambray shirt: old from Nordstrom similar here,Jeans: on sale Skinny Jeans, Spike bracelet(NOW ON SALE): Nordstrom,  Watch: Michael Kors Link Bracelet: Henri Bendel, Earrings: Forever 21, Wedges: Charlotte Russe
