two of my favorites at the moment

two of my favorites at the moment
So today I have an outfit that includes two of my favorite things in my closet right now. And I cannot stop wearing them. First is this tie dye tank from Riffraff that I'm just obsessed with. I can style it so many different ways. Like here I posted this picture on Instagram(you can follow me at @lcano13) this is where I wore it first in Houston, because it was warm when I was there I didn't need to cover up. Its the perfect tank. Its so flowy and I feel girly in it yet a little edgy. I just love it so much.
And now in today's post is how I have been wearing it lately back in Utah, by just layering it. Its seriously been on repeat, Matt has even noticed, and when a guy notices then you know you're wearing a certain thing too much haha. One way I love to wear it is by wearing it with a denim button up, and I think this acid wash one goes so well with it. So basically I think this tank is the perfect tank to have. Now on to my other favorite at the moment, and that's this Agate stone necklace from Paint The Town Me. I am so in love with this necklace! The stone is so pretty, and it really can add so much to an outfit, it actually goes with a lot of things too. So yeah basically these two things are on repeat and I don't feel bad about it one bit. :)

love and a giveaway
So I'm pretty in love with this outfit. I'm obviously ready for spring. I'm sick of the cold. But I love every little detail about this outfit. First of all how adorable is this floral tank? I love the colors of it, and I love it even more because I got it for only five dollars at The Loft outlet store, oh great deals:) I paired it with this great sweater my mom gave me from Victoria Secret, the color is so vibrant and its so soft. I thought the two went really well together and my love chain necklace from The Glitter Vault goes so well with it. I love this necklace, the fact that it says love and that its so delicate. I really like how its pretty different, I haven't really seen necklaces like this before. And this skirt from AMI Clubwear is a great skirt to have in your closet, the color can go with so many things, its one of those pieces that is a great staple.

I'm going to end with my lipstick. I love this color, its from GlitterBuzzStyle Cosmetics. I love how it goes on, and I love the deep rich tone of it. I've teamed up with GlitterBuzzStyle Cosmetics to giveaway one lipstick of your choice to a lucky Blushing Boulevard reader:) Just enter on the Rafflecopter widget below! Good luck! how to make authentic Spanish Churros con Chocolate

how to make authentic Spanish Churros con Chocolate
So many of you might not know this about me, but I am Spanish. Both my parents were both born and raised in Spain and moved here in their twenties. They are both very Spanish and made sure that even though their kids were raised in America they had their Spanish traditions installed. Every summer since I was born we would go back to Madrid, where they are from and just spend the summers there with family and I really see Madrid as my second home! I love Texas, but Spain  will always be my second home to me. When through out the year when we weren't in Spain my mom wanted to make sure we were still eating Spanish foods. Every Saturday she would make us Churros con Chocolate! Now these are the real deal y'all, not the kind of Churros you get at sporting events, but the real stuff you will find in Spain! Its so easy and SO amazing! I seriously am obsessed with them, and when I have kids I will for sure be having Churros Saturdays.

I'm going to share the recipe with y'all, some of the things you will need you have to find them at this website HERE, its a great website that actually imports things straight from Spain! So you are getting Spanish products:)

Churros  Recipe for four servings:

2Cups of flour
2Cups of boiling water
1/2 tsp of salt

1. In a bowl combine the flour and salt
2. Then add the boiling water and work together into a paste.

3. Put the paste into a Churro maker ( You can purchase one online through " La espanola, meats" or " La tienda" these are companies that import products from Spain. Click HERE to purchase one! or HERE!

4. In a pot or deep frying pan  add  about 2 to 3 cups of olive oil. Heat oil till very hot so that when dropping in the Churro paste it will gradually turn into a nice golden color.

5.Strain churros and place on paper towels to drain extra oil. Make sure not to cook too many churros at one time as this will affect the heat of the oil, resulting in not very crispy churros.
6. Enjoy with a cup of hot Spanish style chocolate.
7. To make a traditional Spanish style chocolate, use this "Amalia" mix that you can also purchase through the same website HERE. Search for "Amalia" and it will be the only one that pops up, its about $5!! And it tastes AMAZING! (just like the chocolate in Spain!)

8. You will follow the instructions on the packaging, by just mixing the appropriate amount of milk over the stove, by adding the chocolate mix first then the milk.

9. Lastly just enjoy by mixing or dipping the Churro with sugar then dipping it in your yummy Spanish chocolate! :)

If y'all have any questions please email me!! I am more than happy to help y'all out! I hope some of y'all try this recipe out because its just so amazing!! Thanks for reading!

i wouldn't mind waking up to your face everyday.

i wouldn't mind waking up to your face everyday.
I can't believe its already Friday, this week has flown by. But I'm not complaining because I can finally hangout with Matt for longer than an hour, that boy is just so busy with school. But only a couple more semesters till he's done:)

So this is probably one of my favorite shirts in my closet right now! I love everything about it, y'all know I love graphic tees and such, but this one is just my favorite. I love the saying, "I wouldn't mind waking up to your face everyday" isn't it the cutest?! I also love how comfortable it is,  I'm all about comfort, and these tees are SO soft! This tee is from good hYOUman. and I love what the place is about, it was founded on the idea that everyone has a story. The owner created the company in memory of of his father who passed from Leukemia, sales from the tees help raise money to find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma. So all around its an amazing company, that is for a great cause, and they are great products! So I love everything about it! They have tons of different styles and sayings so go check them out here, you will for sure find something you like:)

So I wanted to style the tee a little different than I usually do, so I tried something I haven't before, and that's wearing them with leggings and shorts. I actually really liked it, and I thought it looked pretty good! And I also paired it with two of my new favorite accessories. Like these sunnies that I got from the Loft outlet for only $5!! What a steal right? And then this beautiful necklace!! I have been wanting one like this forever!! But I never wanted to spend a lot of money on it, so I found a deal on Michelle Money's website, and with shipping I only payed like $30! I was so happy about it, because it didn't cost a fortune and its what I have been wanting forever, you can wear it with so many different things! If you haven't checked out her site, you should because she has some pretty good deals, check it out here!

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend:) Thanks for reading lovelies:)

heart on my sleeve
So I just got back from my trip home to Houston, I miss that place so much! The weather was amazing, in the 70s and I officially decided that I need to convince Matt that its time to move there. It was a short and sweet trip, and I already miss it. These pictures were taken in my hometown Sugar Land, in their town center. My mom took them, and I thought they turned out pretty good!

I am literally in love with this sweater. Its from Riffraff, and its just the perfect sweater. Its cozy and comfy, but totally cute as well. I love the hearts on this sweater, the material on them is so soft. Its the perfect sweater for fun casual look. I paired it with some of my favorite accessories, like these Armed&Readi jewels. I love the necklace from Armed&Readi, its just so delicate and can be worn with so many different things. I also have on my favorite A&R ring that has the leopard pattern in the middle. And how cute is this Michael Kors purse? I love the chain and love the fact that its so tiny.

greens

17 January 2014

greens
So I'm writing this post from Sugar Land, my hometown. I'm so happy about it, I'm not so happy about the three hours of sleep I got but its okay.  I'm going to keep this post really short, because I'm crazy busy and have a ton errands my first day. The lighting in these pictures are really weird so I didn't get a whole lot of them, but I just love this outfit. I think green is such a pretty color to wear. I found this green sweater at Target for ten dollars!! I was so happy, and its seriously such a great one to have, even though its green, I can wear it with a lot of different things, like this adorable green jeweled necklace from Armed & Readi. And because I'm obsessed with my new green hunter boots, I was more than happy to wear them and make the whole outfit just kinda a green theme.

I also have two giveaways going on right now! To enter to the All Things Lovely giveaway click HERE, to enter the toADORN giveaway click HERE. Happy Friday everyone!!! :)
