no such thing

no such thing
There is no such thing as too many floral prints in your closet. There just isn't. I have a mad crush on floral prints. I just think they are so girly and so fun to wear. I absolutely love this white dress with blue florals, it's too perfect for spring and it's light weight which is always good! It's from Tobi, which has a great selection of dresses PLUS a crazy good discount going on right now, you can get 50% off site wide with the code SD50. This dress specifically is only $34 with the code!

I paired it with my favorite denim jacket I thrifted last year in Spain and this dress looks great alone or with some denim. I also added this fun hat which always makes you look put together, which I think is amazing because if you are having a bad hair just add a hat ;) So it's officially May, it's dress season and floral season so stock up because there are so many different ways to wear them!

outfits from my cruise

outfits from my cruise
Cruises are probably one of my favorite ways to travel. So relaxing and I get to dress up some nights since they have formal nights, and that's always fun. Also fun fact about me, I have a serious obession with swimsuits, every season I buy way too many because I just want them all. It's hard for me to wear a swimsuit more than a couple times haha. It's terrible, Matthew hates it, but I can't help it. So I put together links and photos from the outfits I wore on my cruise. Most of these photos were taken with a phone, so the quality isn't the best and I'm sorry. I wasn't worrying about outfit photos, but I wanted to show y'all what I wore!

all about the neckline

25 April 2017

all about the neckline
I'm back from a cruise with the hubby and it was a much needed break from our busy schedules. I'm going to be sharing what I wore on the cruise later this week, along with our travel vlog!

I'll be in Texas this next week and I'm just loving every second of it. I miss living here so much. I'm enjoying the weather and spending time with family. I found this dress in a Nordstrom Rack in San Diego and I knew I needed to have it. The floral print was so perfect for spring but the key hole neckline is what sold me. I love the fun necklines that are being incorporated into blouses and dresses lately. Plus it's less than $50 so that's always a good deal for a dress! These neutral sandals have been on repeat the minute I got them last summer. They go with so many things and they are actually really comfortable. Now onto these earrings that I'm literally obsessed with surprisingly. My mom took me to the Kendra Scott store to get me something for my birthday and she convinced me to get these rose gold drop earrings, I didn't think I would wear them a lot but I've basically worn them every day since I've gotten them. I love Kendra Scott jewelry, every piece I've purchased it quickly becomes a favorite. That's it for now, but I can't wait to show y'all some more details of my trip later this week!

major realness

03 April 2017

major realness

Major realness is what I always try to achieve in life. When I got married, engaged for that matter, this blog really took the back seat and I didn't care much about it. I was enjoying planning my wedding, getting married, and enjoying the newlywed life. I've been doing a lot of soul searching lately, took a break from social media for a couple of months, and really just been trying to get back to my best self. I work in marketing, and ironically my job is social media and other things so two weeks ago I went to a social media conference in San Diego, and it really inspired me to start blogging again. Not to become this huge fashion blogger, not to make a living out of it, but because it's actually something I love doing. And I'm all about doing things I love lately, it's good for the soul ;)

The conference made me miss having my personal creative outlet and lately more than ever I have been wanting to share realness. So much of today's society is so fake, and so curated for social media, and it gets so exhausting and really depressing sometimes. I'm here to tell you that I'll be over here in my little portion of the internet telling you that it's perfectly okay to not look 100% all the time, it's okay to not be stick thin, it's okay to gain some weight, it's okay to feel sad sometimes, it's okay to feel like shit sometimes, and that it all gets better!

Blushing Boulevard is going to be a place where I'm going to try to showcase MAJOR REALNESS with you! It's not going to be what I think it should be but what I want it to be. I love traveling so much, I love decorating my home, I love my husband, I love fashion and make-up so that's what this is going to be! It's going to be a destination of all the things I love and I'm going to be real about those things!

I'll end by saying I freaking love this outfit, yes I was scared out of my mind to start taking outfit pictures again because I have gained 60ish pounds since I started blogging back in the day but oh freaking well! You have to start somewhere right? And I'm sick of thinking I can't do this because I don't look perfect! I'm my best self right now and that's good enough!

I also love these wedges surprisingly. I'm sure you have noticed that everyone has them, I now know why. I promise they are worth it, and it doesn't matter that they are #basic haha. They are just really comfortable! Isn't that crazy? Because I sure thought they wouldn't be. Oh, and this dress is majorly on sale! Like big time! So buy it, because I got at least 5+ compliments today wearing it and you will too! ;)

So I promise I'm going to be more consecutive with this thing, and for those who are new welcome, and those who have been here before thank you for reading! :)

So people always ask me where I love to shop, one of the places I ALWAYS tell them is Asos. Seriously I could spend way too much money there because everything is just so cute and pretty. And I honestly feel like things are pretty reasonably priced. One of my favorite things to shop there are dresses. Y'all need to go look now if you haven't already :)

ootd

ootd

This is my current ootd, outfit of the day, and I'm all about it! Black, comfortable, girly, and a little boho. Plus a pop of leopard is always great! I'm all about pairing a simple black dress with some fun things like my leopard booties and this fun necklace! But yes, this is as real as it can get, this is me being me, totally not trying to hide my weirdness!

simple uniform

simple uniform
Oh hey! So a lot has changed. I feel like my personal style is something that I have been changing a lot too. A lot more simple is what I prefer. So this look has been kinda what I have been wearing pretty much like everyday. Matt bought me these nikes, and I cannot stop wearing them! Not only are they super comfortable but I feel like they are so chic! What I usually do is just wear yoga pants with a top and call it good. You might call it too simple, but I call it my uniform.

two looks for a rodeo

12 March 2013

two looks for a rodeo
In honor of me and Matt going to Houston tomorrow and the Houston Rodeo to see Jake Owen I decided to do two different inspiration boards of two different looks you could wear to a rodeo. I love rodeos and I love getting all dolled up for them. You can look cute but its a casual and comfy cute that I love. I'll post some pictures later on of what I'm wearing to the rodeo but here are two outfits that I would love to wear to a rodeo.

lace for rodeo

Oh My Love lace dress,  / Volatile cowboy style boots / Lipsy cross body handbag,  / Coach boyfriend girlfriend jewelry / CC SKYE yellow gold jewelry / Henri Bendel bracelet / Zara woven leather belt

I love lace with cowboy boots and the belt pulls it all together. And my biggest thing with outfits for the rodeo is that they are cute but simple. So I don't like to overdue it with the jewlery. I actually put two bracelets on this board that I have, I love the spike bracelet combined with a big watch, and my favorite the Henri Bendel chain bracelet.

denim for rodeos

Jack Wills cotton floral dress / Coconuts cowboy shoes / Michael Kors chrono watch / Flower earrings

This look is a little more simple but it has my favorite feature for rodeos and that would be the denim! The denim dress with the boots just screams rodeo! I think that denim is always a safe choice to go to when deciding what to wear at a rodeo. If you notice I put a watch on both outfit inpritiations and that's because I do believe that these simple watches really can make an outfit.

What's your favorite thing to wear to a rodeo or similar event?

neon yellow inspiration

neon yellow inspiration
Neon Yellow with Leather

Prabal Gurung white blouse / J Brand leather legging / Prabal Gurung high heel pumps /Prabal Gurung clutch

So the other day I was stumbling around the Target website and I found this amazing new collection they have, its called Prabal Gurung For Target. Its so trendy and I love the colors and everything in the collection, I put together a little inspiration board based around the color that I am loving, this neon yellow color is becoming one of my favorites. Pairing all of this with the leather leggings ties it all together I think. Another thing that I love about this outfit is that it has hints of lace on the clutch and on the blouse, lace is supposed to be really big this spring. I just can't believe that everything but the leggings is from Target and its all an affordable price. Who doesn't love a great deal?
