leopard kimono and friday fashion diaries
So I have been wanting a kimono for quite some time, its just so girly and I love the relaxed flowy feeling it gives. When I saw this leopard kimono at Riffraff, I knew I needed it. Not only was it a kimono, but a leopard one!! I love anything leopard print, and I honestly have worn this thing at least 4 times since I've gotten it, its because it oddly goes with pretty much everything. I never thought I could wear leopard with so much but it being a kimono I think it just works. Needless to say everyone needs to have at least one kimono in their closet, just such a fun piece to wear.

And now for our second edition of Friday Fashion Diaries! I loved reading all y'alls posts, so thanks so much for linking up and please keep coming back to link up each Friday. black and gold

26 February 2014

black and gold
Black is such a classic color to wear, it never gets too old with me. But adding a little gold can be fun as well! This outfit is super comfy, after all when wearing leggings what isn't? And I'm seriously in love with this black tassel necklace from Paint the Town Me Etsy Shop, its such a simple delicate number, but adds a lot to an outfit.

3 in 1 Braid Hair Tutorial
Sorry this video is so late, life is so crazy right now. I'm in the middle of moving and a lot of changes are happening in my life so that's why this post is so late in the day.

Today's tutorial is an easy one, its the 3 in 1 braid that I love to wear. Its so pretty and it really is a fun different take on a traditional side braid. :)

wearing pearls...dressed up and casual

wearing pearls...dressed up and casual
There are a couple pieces a woman should have in her closet at all times, and I think a classic pearl necklace is one of those. This gorgeous pearl necklace is exactly that. Jr. Dunn has some gorgeous pearl necklaces, and this one is beautiful. Every woman needs to have a real pearl necklace, its a staple piece. Some would think that you can only wear a pearl necklace in a dressed up manner but you can totally wear it casually as well. I put together two looks to show just that, the obvious way of wearing pearls in a dressed up way, and then a fun casual outfit wearing the pearl necklace. Both looks are more of a classy style but I seriously love both looks.

bluex2 and Friday Fashion Diaries Link-Up
Morning lovelies:) I am SO happy its Friday, this weekend is going to be amazing and I already know it! So I have this love for cobalt blue and at first I was a little hesistant about wearing it with my heels and blazer but I mixed it with this black pencil and this black and white button up that I think it really mixed well together. By adding bright colors with staple colors like black and white you can get away with a lot, and I just love any outfit where I can wear this much cobalt blue.

Also today is the first edition of Friday Fashion Diaries Link-Up so please link up!! I can't wait to see your posts! Just make sure to follow me on Bloglovin' and link back to my site!! :) Happy Friday and thanks for reading!!! :)

light jacket

19 February 2014

light jacket
Can I just tell you how much I love a good sale? And how much I love outlet stores?! I just love the fact that everything is so reduced, and I hate paying full price so its perfect! I mean why should we when there is so much on sale?! Well I got this amazing light khaki jacket from the Michael Kors Outlet this past weekend and I just love it. Originally this cute thing is $225 but I only paid $50 for it! I was seriously so happy. Initially I went into the store just to buy some leather conditioner for my purse but Matt actually persuaded me to go look at the clothes because the associate said everything was 50% off, so I saw this and I knew I needed it!
Its the perfect jacket for this transition between winter and spring here in Utah. And it can go with so many things. So what I hope you take away from this post is that shopping at the Outlets is such a great thing, because you get beautiful designer pieces for a crazy affordable price:) Which I'm pretty sure y'all already knew that;)

his and hers

16 February 2014

his and hers
Aren't weekends the best? I hate to say I live for them, but they are pretty amazing. I get to hangout with my favorite person in the world and that's why they are my favorite. Saturday here in Utah was in the 50's and it was nice enough out where I didn't need a coat, it was so nice. Before we headed out for a day of fun filled with shopping, going out to eat, and movies Matt took some outfit pictures for me like he always does...but this day was a little different because I thought that he looked too darn cute and his outfit was just too cool to not take pictures of it. He resisted a little but I got some pictures of him and his outfit so now I bring you my first his and hers post:)

HERS
I am pretty in love with this outfit. I love this flowy chiffon orange blouse that I bought forever ago but it looks even better with this cute green vest from Annie Jean Apparel. I seriously love this vest, it goes with SO many things and adds so much flare to an outfit. Check out Annie Jean, and when you find something you love(because you will) use the code SAVE20 at check out to get an extra 20% off!!! This fan fringed necklace went along with it really well I thought, the colors of this outfit are just so warm to me, reminding me of warmers days. I also got to wear my new Michael Kors bag I just bought myself! I am so obsessed with this purse! Wait till you see how I not only can wear it this way but it changes to wear it as a cross body, its the perfect bag and the luggage color is perfect to wear with pretty much everything.

HIS
So Matt has the cutest style, I'm probably biased because he is my boyfriend but this boy is just too cute. Aren't these camo pants so fun and cool for a guy, just a different take on camo! Would you believe me if I told you that he got them for $3? Well he did..I've taught my man well when shopping for sales;) He found them at Pacsun and I was shocked when he told me. We paired the camo pants with a denim button up to really let the camo do the standing out. I think pairing camo with denim is a perfect way to really wear camo well. And I thought his new nikes were the perfect touch to the outfit. They are Nike Stefan Janoski and I love them, they are suede material and the brown color is perfect to wear with a lot of outfits.

creme de la creme

14 February 2014

creme de la creme
Happy Valentines Day Y'all:) I love this day so much! And I'm so excited for tonight with Matt, we have a really fun date night planned! So I had this really cute post today, wearing a fun Valentine's outfit but I accidentally deleted all my pictures on my camera when I was trying to film a video, I felt so stupid. But I do have this outfit that I totally love. I wore it the first day of the Build Your Blog Conference. Jody took these for me in our hotel, the lighting isn't very good but I still think they ended up pretty good.

I love this creme de la creme tee from Tshirts314. Its another one of those pieces that can be dressed up or down. I paired it with a leopard sweater and fun statement necklace that really dressed the tee up. Simple things like that make the world of a difference in a outfit, so if you have a fun graphic tee, next time you wear it pair it with a fun sweater or statement tee, it will add so much flare to your outfit:) And Tshirts314 has some really fun tees so y'all need to check it out. Happy Valentines Day again, I hope y'all have an amazing day!!

10 Beauty Uses of Coconut Oil

10 Beauty Uses of Coconut Oil
So I have a video for y'all today. Its my first video that I've made so please don't make fun haha:) I attended a class called the Ins and Outs of Youtube for Bloggers at the Build Your Blog Conference and I really thought it was such an amazing class! I learned a lot and it really gave me that push to start doing videos. I'm going to start doing videos once a week, and posting them on Tuesdays. Yes I know it's not Tuesday but I just wanted to start haha:) But from now on they will go live on Tuesdays! So please comment below and tell me what kind of videos y'all would like to see because I would love to know!!
10 Beauty Uses of Coconut Oil

10. Lip Balm: Using Coconut Oil as lip balm really locks in the moisture and really is a great balm.
9. Body Scrub: Mix Coconut Oil with brown sugar to use as a great scrub.
8. Make-up Remover: Use Coconut Oil with a cotton pad and it is a very gentle way to remove make-up. Just make sure to rinse it off after!
7. Shaving Cream: This is really good for people who have sensitive skin, especially when they shave.
6. Face Scrub: Mix Coconut Oil with baking soda. By doing this you have yourself a gentle face exfoliator.
5. Cuticle Oil: Use this on your cuticles if they have been looking dry lately.
4. Moisturizer: Mix Coconut Oil  with Shea butter to get a great moisturizer. It will really help with areas like your elbows!
3. Eye Cream: Coconut Oil is actually a great way to hydrate the sensitive skin around our eyes. Not only will it leave it soft but it will help with wrinkles.
2. Frizz Fighter: Oil and water don't mix. So by adding some coconut oil before you head out the door you will have yourself a frizz fighter. Coconut Oil really helps with frizz!
1. Grow Your Hair: So this is my number one for a reason!! I love using coconut oil to help grow my hair out, and it really does work!!! Read this post HERE to see how to use it!
